I’m really unsure what to do right now because we wanted to visit parents in Germany in the next months. Our child doesn’t have a passport and I imagine in July or August regular flights will resume but we can’t fly without a passport. I’m debating if we should just file now and will have to wait months — or wait until the expedited option becomes available which ultimately could be faster. Currently the expedited is not available and I’ve heard people have been waiting over 3 months and not received their passport through regular processing.
But I imagine they might not open the expedited option even after kicking into the other normal gears. Any thoughts on this? I saw premium processing is happening for some visas so maybe they will do the same thing. After all they do need money.
