In the US and flight home keeps getting cancelled - What are my chances of getting an ESTA visa waiver extension?
I'm British and came to the US in March. I've now been here for 2 and a half months and was due to have gone home by now but my flight was cancelled, I rebooked it and it has now been cancelled again. It now seems to be impossible to get through to delta to re-arrange my flight and I'm not confident that I'll be able to get one in time and am worried that even if I do it might just be cancelled again anyway.
Does anyone know what the chances are of getting a satisfactory departure approved?
I've read online about the possibility of getting a satisfactory departure to give me 30 extra days here. I called up and was told I could only apply for this five days before my time limit for being here was due. That seems risky, because what if they say no!? I've then got five days to get a flight which I'm already having trouble getting and is the reason I need an extension in the first place!
