I'm on O-1B visa that is expiring on September. I have a pending AOS through marriage (70 days and counting) so I'm waiting for my combo card to continue working. I never required an EAD to work with my employer hence I'm applying for a fresh EAD card (i had one as a student that expired a decade ago tho). While my boss is 100% on board writing a letter to expedite my EAD (explaining how my work interruption can cause the company thousands of dollars), we're also thinking what to do if my card STILL doesn't arrive on time.
My boss told me that they can furlough me until my EAD arrives.
Is this my best option right now?
