On vacation in the States - can I extend my vacation despite my circumstances?

Hello! I am a Canadian citizen currently in the States on vacation to visit my partner. I have an I-20 ready to go to come study here in America but cannot enter on my F-1 status until 30 days prior to my course, which begins September 1st.
I'm considering extending my vacation until August 1st, returning to Canada for two weeks to get my affairs in order back home, and coming back down activating my F-1 status at the airport's USCIS. Is there anything wrong with this? I came here for a month originally, my return flight scheduled for the beginning of July, with the intentions of going back to work until the end of August when my studies would start. However, it seems like my work will not be resuming operations now. I'd much rather stay here until August. I'm still well within the six months of vacation allowed to Canadians, but I'm concerned that there's something I'm overlooking in terms of the legality of this idea.
Thank you in advance for your help.

N-400 form {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} message

At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!! Any idea what that means? More importantly - When I click on "View PDF" link under "N-400 Application for Naturalization", to see my actual N-400 form, I get " {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} " message! The form is also missing under "Documents -> Your Uploads" tab! So, it appears that my N400 form is missing! What does that all mean, considering that it's impossible to file without N400 form! Finally, under profile, My name is incorrectly sp...
