Im a green card holder. I am planning to apply for citizenship in the coming year.
I want to attend the protests in my area which have reportedly been mostly peaceful(no vandalism or looting) but police have still maced and shot rubber bullets, idk much abt arrests being made.
Im a little concerned though that with the current state of things, attending a protest will have dire consequences if I actually get arrested.
Is this a rational fear? Ive lived in this country pretty much my entire life and its frustrating to think I could lose my right to be here for exercising my first amendment right. I hope this is just me being paranoid.
I know the protests are a controversial issue rn, pls refrain from commenting on that.
