Hi guys, I've been checking this immigration forum for a while and it seems like the Canada/US land border is closed, but there are CBP officers processing visas at the airports.
Is any field of profession considered as "essential" because you need to work in the US?
I was planning to apply for my TN visa at YVR airport for a while. I am Canadian. I'm categorized as a graphic designer and my lawyer has been telling me not to go to the airport because the way CBP officers process visas right now is so random that I might not pass through the border. It would be a smart choice to listen to my lawyer but I've been so frustrated since I've been stuck in a foreign country for a 5 months... I was just trying to switch my employer for a new job and I left everything in the US.
I read a successful story of a graphic designer getting a TN visa a month ago. So I'm curious to see if any other graphic designers got their visas recently! Do any of you have any advice for me?
Thank you :D.
