I've been searching the USCIS website for quite some time now but I can't seem to find a single page that concerns the problem my father is facing.
He is an LPR, and to our understanding, to maintain LPR status you can't live abroad for more than a year. Well, it's almost been a year since the last time he came to the US and he can't come now. Well, he technically can come to the US but he needs to get back to Mongolia afterwards, the problem is Mongolia has banned all international travel, so he can leave Mongolia, but can't come back.
Is there a way to extend the period in which he can stay abroad? What can be done?
