Hey folks - I'd appreciate some advice here. I have a relative that is on Green card who left the US last September with an intention to return back to the country in March. But due to Covid-19, they have been scared to travel back to the US as they are over the age of 60. In addition, there are multiple travel restrictions in place making international travel difficult.
We're now worried that conditions are not going to get any better before the 12 month re-entry deadline has passed.
Are there any options to get an extension on the 12-month re-entry requirement to maintain an active permanent resident status, given the pandemic? Thank you!
