Questions about K1?

So my boyfriend and I were planning on getting engaged in December of this year and filing for the k1 once he returns back home. With current COVID things I’m pretty sure that isn’t happening now. He is in UK and I am in US. I have a couple questions because everything I try to search comes up with confusing or irrelevant answers.

  1. If he isn’t able to get here in December and we aren’t able to be “officially” engaged, do we need to wait to do an official one before I file the petition? I know you have to send documentation of everything and wasn’t sure if there had to be documentation as far as an in person engagement for that. What sort of documentation did you guys send?

  2. If I file the petition, is he able to travel here during the waiting period?

  3. If it’s approved and we marry and all that, is he able to apply for a work visa right away or is it after we get married?

DS-260 Have you ever attended any educational institutions at a secondary level or above?

Ok so I’m not sure what to put down here, I have a high school diploma and currently attending college! So for the occupation part for a previous question I put down the school I go to and address, however I am uncertain what to put down here, I put my high school start and end date but do I also include the college? Because it says highest level of education COMPLETED but also in the drop down menu there is an option that says UNIVERSITY,NO DEGREE which if I do choose then I will have to fill out the school information and then a start date and an end date which I still do not know this is the only question I’m struggling will and have looked into it but no straightforward answer!
