Hey! I'm a gay Arab student in the Middle East thinking of applying for asylum Stateside. I'm somewhat familiar with the process, having read about it for several months this year. I'm seeking asylum because restrictions and laws on members of the LGBTQ community here are tightening, and my govt. is cracking down on anyone "living a gay lifestyle", with some people even facing prison sentences. Would this constitute a strong enough case? I'm aware that the Trump Administration has made it exponentially more difficult for asylum seekers, so I wanted to know what my odds were if I choose to go down this route.
