Spouse I-130 Journey is about to start.

Ok... So, I'm an American born citizen, I was working in the US when 09 recession blew up and returned to Mexico with my parents. There, I met my life partner in 2010 and we got married in 2011. FF>> we have 2 kids, one of them already has a CRBA and we are waiting for the Mexican Embassy in Mexico City to open some appointments in order to get the other CRBA.

the thing is, I got this job offer in the US that I can't refuse.

I'm planning to file an I-130 for my Mexican wife as soon as I get to the US and start working.

Key points: -10 year marriage with valid mexican certificate. - 2 kids, 1 has CRBA the other will get it hopefully next month. - I'm starting at my new job in the US very soon. - My wife's B1 visa expired 2 years ago.

*Should I file for her I-130 in the US or is it better to take the consular pathway and file now??

*While waiting for I-130 approval, is it possible for her to apply for a B-1(tourist) visa in order to visit me?? (she has a very stable job in Mexico, she pay for all the bills, currently paying a mortgage and she takes care of her parents payments, at least some bills, that should prove that she will return to Mexico after a short visit).

While some people tell me that we have a relatively easy case for her I-130 approval, what stresses us is the fact of being separated, specially for our kids, hence my question regarding the B-1 visa.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

NVC Case FE Review note

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p . To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our ...
