Question regarding Wife's Status

Hi! First time here.

I have a question hoping to find some help. My Wife's Grandfather was born in the US (Arizona). He married a lady he met in Nogales and moved to Mexico. - My Wife's father was born in Mexico, and never claimed citizenship. Both my Wife and her dad are still alive. Is there a way my Wife can claim citizenship if her father does so?
My wife's father is 75 - His birth certificate states his father (wife's grandad) was from the US and we were able to find copies (yet to acquire originals) of her grandad appearing on a US census before the 1950's. Records I believe would be available in Tucson.
Any positive feedback highly appreciated. Thanks!

NVC Case FE Review note

To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our ...
