US Visa and process for a Filipino citizen

Hi guys,

My mother is 63 years old and just passed the US citizenship test. She will be going through her naturalization ceremony soon. To give more background, she is my only family member living in the US and she has been married to my American step-father for more than 7 years now. Also, she had cancer and already 3 years cancer-free according to her doctor although she has maintenance medicine and regular check-up.

Moving on to my background, I'm a single Filipino Male going 29 this year, a college undergraduate of 2 years. I'm currently employed, I already have a good career here in the Philippines in the Data Analytics field (6 years working experience in Data Analytics plus another 2 years in another field) and had been employed with well-known international companies.

So here are my questions:

  1. What US Visa can I apply for to work in the US?
  2. What are the chances of getting denied getting my philippine US Visa approved considering I have a mother who is already a citizen?
  3. What would be the documents I will need to prepare?
  4. Where and how can we start processing my papers?
  5. How much will everything cost in terms of my application and processing?

Thank you in advance! I'll have more follow-up questions as I get answers to these questions.

NVC Case FE Review note

Hi everyone, my family and I are under the F3 category and we just received a notice from NVC that our documents have been approved and that we are Documentarily Qualified. My only concern is this message that we received today in addition to the acceptance: " [Name of petitioner] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p . To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted." We already have a petitioner and a household sponsor (the household sponsor's income is above the required level), but still unsure why we received this. Has anyone else received this message? All of our documents say "Approved" on NVC. Does this mean we have to find another sponsor? Can we show the consular officer our ...
