Canadian job market for Computer Science

My brother is deciding between University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the US and University of Alberta in Canada. A major factor he is concerned about is getting permanent residency (PR) after graduation. He’s been advised to get a Canadian degree over an American one to make PR possible potentially. What we have heard about CS in the US is that jobs are plenty and pay well, but we don’t know as much about Canada. I was wondering, what do the career prospects in Canada look like? Is it promising? Also, by any chance, do you know if there are good internship opportunities in U of Alberta or in the Alberta province?

Hoping some of you have experience/know of the employment opportunities there. Thank you so much, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, When I entered my information into the CBP compliance check, my result was this "Days Overstayed: N/A and Days Left to Leave the Country: N/A" I also recieved the message: Your traveler status is not available at this time. If you have not received results, you are not among the eligible travelers for the traveler compliance check at this time.
