Background: my wife and I are both US Citizens. We also work for the us government.
My mother was denied a tourist visa. Her purpose to visit was to come assist my wife and I with our newborn baby.
reason for denial: Denied under section 214(b). Failure to show that she is not abandoning her home country.
I would like to reapply because we need her help with the baby especially once we go back to work. So my questions are:- Does being US government employees give the mom any credibility when she applies for the Visa?
- Can I reapply immediately?
- what can we do to strengthen the case for the visa?
- can I file a I-130 when she gets here to change her status?
Any advise will be helpful.
