My I-130 has been approved for F2B petition and it is supposed to be an AOS since I’m currently in the US on H1B. But an emergency family situation has come up so I’m planning on giving up on my H1B to go back to China for a few years.
Since on the I-130 petition it was put down that I’m applying from the US, will me going back to China cause any negative impact on my petition process? I have 1 year 6 months until my priority date according to the June visa bulletin. Should I contact the embassy or NVC to let them know once I’m no longer in the US? What are steps I should take to ensure I don’t screw up my petition?
Somehow my current interview place is set to be in Guangzhou, China even though it should be an AOS so idk what I should do.
Thanks for any advice!
