Situation: Desperately seeking to rejuvenate my hotel sales career across the border as covid has pretty much destroyed my sales career in Canada. Currently shortlisted for a few sales positions and during the interview I mentioned that there's the TN Nafta Visa available for hotel managers.
If offered a job, I believe I meet all the requirements, but want clarification on the educational requirements: Does my degree have to be in hotel management? I have a degree in general studies and over 10+ years of hotel sales experience. Will my general studies degree disqualify my application? I had a consultation with a lawyer who said it will be fine, but I saw an immigration law firm state that someone's application was denied because their degree was in business and not hotel management.
Any clarification would be helpful - thank you!
