I just graduated college and because of my school's website I got confused on the application timeline for post completion OPT EAD card. I am just sending out my application now and I have a start date of June 7th for my job. I know I will not be able to get my EAD card in time and will have to contact them to push back my start date.
For those who have recently received their EAD card, how long did processing take after receiving your receipt?
I'm trying to figure out by how much my start date should be pushed back and when I could expect to receive the card .
I've seen some people trying to expedite the process by calling them or having their local governor contact USCIS. How has that worked for you?
Thanks in advance, I'm really stressed out about this and having to tell the company I'm working for to pushback my start date because it looks really bad given that it was my mistake.
