Here is my current situation: French citizen, h1b visa and living in the US, married to a US citizen (recently) and didn't start a green card process yet. I am going back to France and do not want to spend 14 days somewhere else on the way back. Because I am married to a US citizen this rule doesn't apply to me anyway.
Now, I am traveling alone. I have my passport and our marriage certificate but this doesn't say that he is an American citizen, how can I prove to them that the name on our marriage certificate is of an American, without him being there? Would a copy of his passport be enough? Or should I bring his passport altogether? Would it even work?
Thank you for your input
