Can I apply for U.S. citizenship if I am a resident of Texas but live in Indiana as a college student without going back to Texas?
I came to the U.S. a few years ago, and I am a permanent resident of the country. My state of residence is Texas (I have a Texas ID), but I go to school in Indiana. I want to apply for naturalization since I have been here for almost 5 years now. The concern I have is if I can apply for a citizenship as a Texas resident living in Indiana. I do not plan on going back to Texas. I will finish college in a few months and move to the East Coast. Do I have to go back to Texas to apply for citizenship if I do not plan on changing my state of residence, which is Texas?
