Online i-130 photo requirement

" Make sure your whole face is visible, you are facing the camera directly, and the background is white or off-white. Your head must be bare, unless contrary to your religious beliefs. Also, include an image of the back of the photograph with your name and A-Number written in pen or pencil. " Is this part necessary if it is filed online. It feels like it is written for when these form was sent by mail. Thank your help.
