Experiences Switching to CR1 While k1 is processing

I'm in that difficult spot right now during the k1 visa where I am trying to decide whether or not to switch to cr1 visa while k1 is still processing (and even in the end-stage). But since the processing has been taking too long my fiance and I decided to get married. So of course the obvious answer is cr1 visa. I would, however, like to know how smooth the process is. How do I go about retracting my k1 and getting my passport back from the consulate?

Does switching from k1 to cr1 get looked at suspiciously by immigration?

Could switching to cr1 complicate my case any more than it needs to be?

What are the experiences of other people who have done this?

More importantly - When I click on "View PDF" link under "N-400 Application for Naturalization", to see my actual N-400 form, I get " {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} " message! The form is also missing under "Documents -> Your Uploads" tab! So, it appears that my N400 form is missing! What does that all mean, considering that it's impossible to file without N400 form! Finally, under profile, My name is incorrectly sp...
