Help figuring my options out here. I'm a US Citizen, Fiance's a Portuguese Citizen living in Germany.

Howdy y'all!

We're in a long term relationship and wanting to continue our lives together in the States. We're trying to figure our best gameplan here for my fiance and I to:

  • Get married.
  • Get her Green Card.

We have a visit this coming January, and as I understand it we should avoid being married on a tourist/visitation visa as that would complicate a future K1. After the visit, we plan to start the K1 process.

Was wondering if anyone has any experience in saving time legally here, we're not wanting to risk anything here as steep the waiting times seem to be. I understand some countries like Germany allow marriage to be filed without one party being present if the other has power of attorney. Would it be wise to do that for the sake of having the k1 fee waived or is there a hitch I'm not seeing in that?

Thank you all very much for your time, help, and advice!

At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!! Any idea what that means? More importantly - When I click on "View PDF" link under "N-400 Application for Naturalization", to see my actual N-400 form, I get " {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} " message! The form is also missing under "Documents -> Your Uploads" tab! So, it appears that my N400 form is missing! What does that all mean, considering that it's impossible to file without N400 form! Finally, under profile, My name is incorrectly sp...
