I got my i140 approved about a week ago and currently awaiting NVC to create a case for me. Meanwhile, my law firm wanted to know if I need assistance from an attorney for consular processing. They said it’s $2000 for this service. My question is in the title. If you have got an employment based green card through consular processing, have you got a lawyer for this last stretch of the process. I am single with a clean criminal background so I’m thinking this would be pretty straight forward for me to tackle myself. Let me know what you think.
Thank you.
