I hold a H1b visa through my employer till December 2022. I am planning on marrying my gf(US citizen) in January. In my research I found out that I should file for i765 along with the GC application. How long does it take for the work authorization? Should I forfeit my H1b status?
I'm honestly very confused about the entire work authorization scenario.
