Hi everyone. My Dutch SO applied for his ESTA to visit the US last night. We live together in Italy and I am a dual US/Italian citizen. On the website it asks if you’ve visited a few countries, Iraq being one of them, since March 2011. He put “no,” as he thought he visited in February 2011. Turns out it he made a mistake and it was February 2012 (he visited his Dutch-born best friend’s family in Erbil).
His ESTA was approved. What do we do? He should have to apply for a visa at a consulate here but they are closed and we don’t know when they will reopen. We also have intentions of him immigrating to the US in a few years as my spouse so don’t want him to get in trouble.
Thank you!
