How employers approach to people that are non- US Citizen, but are on OPT ?

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of applying for a master's degree in U.S ( Networking or Cybersecurity), and this question is eating me alive. Because I don't have the required finances to afford the degree & living expenses, I will be getting a loan.

And to pay off this loan, I have to work in U.S because I basically make around 800$ in my home country because of the exchange rate. And I'm looking at a 650-700$ monthly payment for years.

A little bit of background information about me ;

  • I'm not from India or China
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems.
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Certification
  • 8 years of experience in global / reputable companies (4 years IT Infrastructure Specialist, 4 years Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist)
  • Looking to get a Security+ Certificate and a master's degree in Networking / Cybersecurity

My questions are ;

  1. What do you think my chances are to finding an employment ?
  2. How do employers approach to people on OPT ?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Nearly one year later on Feb 2021 they sent me a notice that they'll reuse my biometrics from my green card application, but they won't refund the biometric fee! At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!! Any idea what that means? More importantly - When I click on "View PDF" link under "N-400 Application for Naturalization", to see my actual N-400 form, I get " {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} " message! The form is also missing under "Documents -> Your Uploads" tab! So, it appears that my N400 form is missing! What does that all mean, considering that it's impossible to file without N400 form! Finally, under profile, My name is incorrectly sp...
